| Salvador Dali|
(Figeras, Spain 1904-1989, Barcelona, Spain)
A classic of Surrealism, the movement that gave a universal scale to metamorphosis a law of dreams and the sphere of the unconscious. Due to his ability of turning flowers and rubbish into gold, Dali can be placed among great adherents of alchemy. The traditional for this profession definition "charlatan" only proves that the artist belongs to the ancient guild.
It’s sad. The sun is birling like a yolk.
Clock-faces defluent from stones. Gone down Rome.
The wasp’s in bayonet assault. The nailed to the cross
Seemed natural from high above. The home
Giving a lurch has gone to ash.
The life was lurking getting blind.
Entwined in a bow in his moustache
There was still seen the daw Gala,
When artist feels no pity for himself
The century puts a halter round his neck.
