| Gunther Uecker|
(born 1930, Wendorf, Meklenburg, Germany)
An ordinary carpenter's nail, one of the most ancient items always accompanying a man is a semantic and formal unit, primal element, "nucleus" of his works, the starting point of counting in the system of coordinates. Action (invasion, penetration, activity in general) is the key meaning among the multitude of others, being embodied by him, the axis of Ukker's philosophically - meditative creativity.
Pierce the needle into cloth.
Its size is like a nail-clath.
Slowed down bole, do revolt!
After you’ve slightly felt kingbolt.
Is it a yogi lying on the nails board?
It is the Deity, Creator, Lord.
The century, the neb and the chapeaus.
It’s in the wrist from high above
Some day will pierce yours
And is the World the same with Love?
